Projects in the Shed and the Community
Our members are able to undertake projects in the Shed, which are of benefit to themselves, to the Shed, and to the local community. Collaborative projects bring people together, with a shared sense of purpose and a shared satisfaction when the work is done.

Pool Table
A redesigned base for the Pool table at our local Youth Club. The base for the Pool table was broken and dangerous for the club volunteers to use. Our members designed a new base which is easier and safer to use. The board pivots to reduce the floor area when not in use. The table is now functioning again so that it can be used and enjoyed by the Youth Club members.

Mud Kitchen
Mud kitchen for our local school. Our members used scaffold planks to construct a ‘mud kitchen’ in the grounds of Pulham Market Primary School. We hope that the children enjoy using the kitchen…. and also that their parents won’t mind washing their clothes!

Side Table
A personal project by Tony, one of our members. This small table, acquired as part of a house purchase, had a top which was scratched and water damaged. With help from one of our experienced furniture makers, Tony carefully removed the existing finish to reveal the veneered top surface, before applying stain and multiple layers of French Polish to restore the beautiful table top. And what a result… It looks magnificent. Well done Tony!

Work Bench
Work bench for the Shed. This is our first big project for the Shed. A bench made with scaffold boards and equipped with three vices for wood and metal working. It is located in our shed for our members to use.

Buddy Bench
Our members have also built a Buddy Bench for the ‘Shoulder-to-Shoulder’ initiative led by The Men’s Shed Association in the UK. Our bench will be located in a place where it will be accessible to be used by members of our local community.
